Base Choices

  • Here at HIU we offer two types of bases currently; Swiss lace and Skin base.  We've found that these to types of bases work best for wavy to curly textures and offer more flexibility. 

  • The swiss lace base allows the client’s scalp to breath normally.

  • The front line is completely undetectable.

  • The swiss lace supports tapes and liquid adhesives.

  • The useful life of the Lace is 3 to 6 months, or more if not used 24/7.

  • Because of the skin base, the piece may be cut and customized to suit a range of placement scenarios.

  • The Skin Units can remain in place between 15 and 30 days depending on the chemical properties of the user’s skin , and the oiliness of their scalp.

  • For daily use a liquid adhesive may be used.

  • The thin skin base allows for quick and easy cleaning.

  • Fast placement service.

  • Its useful life is 3 to 6 months, or more if not used 24/7,
